Terms of Service & End-User License Agreement

1. Who this agreement is between

This Terms of Service and End-User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legally binding contract between you (“User”) and Cresono(“we”, “us”, or “our”). It applies to your use of Cresono Studio Pro — including the desktop application, the website at cresono.com, and any related services (collectively, the “Product”).

By creating an account, installing the software, or clicking any acceptance prompt, you confirm that you have read and agree to this Agreement in full.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Product. By using it, you represent that you meet this requirement and are legally able to enter into a binding agreement under the laws of your country or region.

3. License grant

Subject to your compliance with this Agreement and the terms of your active plan,Cresono grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use Cresono Studio Pro solely for your own personal or professional creative work.

This license does not include the right to resell, sublicense, redistribute, or share access to the software with any other person. One license covers one individual user across their own personal devices.

4. Plans and access tiers

• Trial (7 days): Full product access at no cost. Designed to let you evaluate every feature before committing to a purchase. No payment method is required to start a trial.
• Monthly ($39/month): Continued full access billed monthly. After 10 consecutive paid months, your license automatically converts to a Lifetime license at no additional cost.
• Lifetime ($249 one-time): Permanent access to the current major version and all updates within it. No recurring charges.

Access is tied to your account. Sharing your credentials with others to give them access is a violation of this Agreement and may result in immediate suspension.

5. Billing and refund policy

Cresono Studio Pro offers a 7-day free trial so you can fully evaluate the product before paying. Because of this, all purchases are considered final.

By completing a purchase, you acknowledge that:

• You have had the opportunity to test the full product during the trial period.
• You are satisfied that the product meets your needs.
• You are making an informed and voluntary purchase decision.

Refunds are not available except in the following case: if a verified technical failure caused entirely by our software prevents the product from functioning at all, and you report it within 48 hours of purchase with supporting evidence, we will review and may issue a refund at our discretion.

Dissatisfaction with results, hardware incompatibility on your end, or a change of mind after purchase do not qualify for a refund.

Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. Cancellation stops future charges but does not generate a refund for the current billing period.

6. Voice consent and ethical use

Cresono Studio Pro includes AI-powered voice transformation technology. This capability carries significant ethical and legal responsibility. By using these features, you agree to the following:

• You will only process voices for which you have explicit permission from the voice owner — or voices that are entirely your own.
• You will not use voice transformation to impersonate any real person — living or deceased — without their documented, informed consent.
• You will not use this software to produce content intended to deceive, defraud, defame, harass, or harm any individual or group.
• You will not use this software to generate synthetic voices for use in scams, phishing, social engineering, or any form of fraud.
• You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use complies with any applicable laws regarding voice recordings, consent, and synthetic media in your jurisdiction.

Violation of this section is grounds for immediate account termination without refund and may expose you to civil and criminal liability.

7. Prohibited uses

You may not use Cresono Studio Pro to:

• Produce, distribute, or sell content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.
• Generate content that is illegal, obscene, threatening, or discriminatory.
• Train competing AI models or reverse-engineer any part of the software.
• Circumvent, disable, or tamper with the license verification or activation system.
• Resell, sublicense, or share your account access with third parties.
• Use automated tools or scripts to access the software or its backend services.
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.

8. Ownership of outputs

You retain ownership of the audio outputs you create using Cresono Studio Pro, provided those outputs were created in compliance with this Agreement and do not infringe on the rights of any third party.

Cresono makes no claim to content you produce. However, we are not responsible for how you use or distribute that content, and any liability arising from your outputs rests entirely with you.

9. Privacy and data

Cresono Studio Pro is a local-first application. Your audio files, voice models, and creative projects are processed entirely on your own machine and are never uploaded to our servers.

We collect only the minimum data required to operate your account: your email address and subscription status. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

10. Intellectual property

All rights, title, and interest in and to Cresono Studio Pro — including the software, its design, algorithms, and branding — remain the exclusive property of Cresono. Nothing in this Agreement transfers any ownership rights to you.

Third-party open-source components included in this software are licensed under their respective terms, which are available in the application's Licenses folder.

11. Updates and changes to the product

We may release updates, improvements, or changes to Cresono Studio Pro at any time. Updates are provided at our discretion and are not guaranteed. We reserve the right to add, modify, or remove features without prior notice.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

Cresono Studio Pro is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for any particular purpose. Your use of the software is at your own risk.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cresono shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — this software, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim under this Agreement shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

14. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account if you materially breach this Agreement — including but not limited to violations of the voice consent, prohibited use, or license sharing provisions. Termination does not entitle you to a refund.

You may stop using the software at any time. Cancelling a monthly subscription ends future billing but does not delete your account or data automatically.

15. Changes to this Agreement

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Product after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you via email or an in-app notice.

16. Governing law

This Agreement is governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before any legal proceedings are initiated.
